CSA – Community Supported Agriculture
Thinking about signing up for a CSA but want to learn more about the idea before you commit?
For over 25 years, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) has become a popular way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from a farmer. Here are True Garden’s basics: we offer a certain number of “shares” to the public. Typically the share consists of a box/bag of vegetables, but other farm products may be included. Interested consumers purchase a share (aka a “membership” or a “subscription”) and in return receive a box (bag, basket) of seasonal produce each week throughout the farming season.”

We offer a Greens and Herbs share which contains a delicious mixture of different varieties of lettuces, greens, and herbs for salads, cooking, and juicing. We can harvest year round on many crops in our 5000 sq ft. state of the art urban greenhouse, even lettuce in the AZ heat! The contents of your share are chosen by us each week. You choose from two share sizes; a full share containing eight to ten living veggies, or a half share with four to five.

Buying from True Garden is as fresh as possible, and hence contains more nutritional value because we don’t harvest your produce before it is ready. Our produce is grown without synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides or herbicides. After only a quick wash, eat it and taste the delicious, nutritious produce.

When you think sustainable, we are conserving water, land and there is minimal carbon footprint. It is as local as you can get.
Occasionally an item may get damaged and slip past us when the shares are packed. If you ever find anything that you are not happy with, just let us know on receipt of your order, and we will be happy to arrange for a replacement.
